It is next to the airport. You can eat at Burger King, which is set 200 feet away from the property. We greatly enjoyed staying at knights inn old saybrook;)))

Arrived to check in around 6pm. The reception office was totally unattended. Two other guests were waiting. A bell to alert staff provided zero response. Finally the owner arrived with no apology. She seemed ill prepared to handle those of us who were showing up to check in. Very apathetic. Took at least 1/2 hr. to check in even though I was pre-registered!

Very quiet and comfortable, excellent shopping and restaurants across the road and a real gentle part of New England with out too many tourists
The smell of curry in the reception area

The only thingI can saythat I liked about the motel was the rate. I was mostly satisfied with the cleanliness except for he carpets which were rather dirty and the stale smell in the room. The restof the room was clean and the linens were plentiful. My wife and I were away for the weekend and intended to stay in Mystic ct ata the seaport but found it tobe quite expensive so we decided to stay in Old Saybrook and drive the 30 minutes to Mystic. We dd also explore the town of Saybrook and also ate all our meals near th motel. Over all it was a nice experience

The customer service. We almost didn't get the room I booked. If you look through your database you'll notice there was a ticket opened for assistance on the day I checked.

Found the hotel to be quiet and basically clean. It was close to restaurants and shopping.
Did find a dead mosquito on the bathroom floor as well as a small ant crawling on the bathroom sink. There was also a water bug in the dresser drawer.

i reserved a room with a king size bed and hot tub, smoking, through your service only to find that they do not have ANY hot tub rooms that are smoking and still had to pay $109.00 for a room with no hot tub. was very dissapointed...

There is a pool at the hotel which I thought would be open, but alas, it has had broken pipes for more than a year and covered over. Hotel staff does not seem motivated to get it fixed. Disappointed I could not refresh myself in the pool after a long day's drive.

The description of the room wasn't exactly what I thought it would be.
